Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published (except as part of a thesis or lecture note, report, or in the form of an abstract), nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission has been approved by all co-authors as well as by the authorities at the institute where the work has been carried out
    Written permission of copyright holders was obtained by the authors for material used from other copyright sources
  3. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, Open Document Format for Office Applications, RTF document file format.
  4. All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://www.socpvs.org) are activated and ready to click.
  5. The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  7. The text must adhere to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  8. The text, if submitted to a peer-reviewed section (e.g., Articles), has had the authors' names removed. If an author is cited, "Author" and year are used in the bibliography and footnotes, instead of author's name, paper title, etc. The author's name has also been removed from the document's Properties, which i.e. Microsoft Word can found in the File menu.
  9. Tables should be in Word or Excel format. Graphs should be in the final format (without legend) in Excel format, or TIFF, or PICT or good quality JPEG format. Images and other figures should be in TIFF, or PICT or good quality JPEG format.
  10. Copyright for articles published in this journal is retained by the authors, under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 Portugal license.
